ECSTASY IN NORWICH, A CALL FOR ART WORK

LOWER.GREEN has a gallery in Anglia Square, in Norwich.  They are seeking creative and original artistic responses, from painting to poetry, recipes to performances, to the sixteen ‘showings’ (visions) and associated ideas of the female mystic Julian of Norwich, who lived as an anchoress in the city in the late Medieval period.

They welcome creative and original responses in all forms / media, from painting to poetry, recipes to performances. However, the works submitted in this second stage should be no bigger than an adult cat – the sole company Julian kept in isolation – and no smaller than a hazelnut – the scale containing her vision of ‘all that is made’.

There is no exhibition fee. Works can be delivered by hand to the gallery on Friday 14 December, 10am–6pm. If you would like to arrange to deliver work before please email the gallery at questions@lower.green. LOWER.GREEN will store delivered work for collection. If work is being posted it needs to arrive by Tuesday 11 December to the address below. (Do not send it to the gallery address as it's unlikely anyone will be there.)
