Cassiopeia Has Found a New Home! read on to the end to find out more. . . .
We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our dragon called Cassiopeia. This is number 48 on the dragon trail. We also challenge you to find the dragon in St Julian's Church!
There are many exciting dragons to see and they are all very different, so do take a look at some and enjoy the artistic thought and hard work that has gone into them.
The dragons are displayed around the city and will be there for all to view until 5 September.
We have delighted to see so many people in the area doing the trail and welcome some of you into the Julian Centre. Many visited the church to look for our resident dragons which are of course with us permanently.
Cassiopeia has now left the space it had been in for the past 2 months and is now getting ready to go to auction along with all the other dragons. We will try and keep you posted on where it goes. The auction will take place at the Forum on 1 October 2015.
All the dragons that had been on display around Norwich this summer have gone to new homes. They were autioned on Friday evening at the Forum. I am still trying to track down where Cassiopeia went and the buyer may wish to remain anonymous, the amount raised for this one dragon was £2,400. A staggering £369,500 was raised at auction that evening with all proceeds going to the charity Break. What a fantastic achievement for everyone involved. The creators of these dragons have much to feel proud about. They were all truely spectacular.
